Aubrey Shamey, DPT
Aubrey has well over a decade of experience as a physical therapist. Throughout her career, a majority of her time has been spent providing care for pelvic health issues.
Aubrey earned her doctorate in physical therapy in 2008. She went on to earn her Certificate in Women's Health Coursework with specific classes in Female Anatomy, Women’s Health for Physical Therapists, PT Management of WH I, PT Management of WH II, Topics in Evidence-Based Practice, Supervised Teaching in PT & Advanced Practicum in Physical Therapy.
In addition, she has been trained in specific areas of physical therapy for women's health at the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. This training included:
Pelvic Floor Level 1, 2A, 2B & Capstone
Female Pelvic Floor Function
Dysfunction & Treatment
Colorectal & Coccyx Conditions
Care of the Pregnant & Postpartum Patient

"I am very passionate about antepartum & postpartum care that addresses pain, incontinence & more. Also I am passionate about helping patients learn how to exercise safely in their pregnancy & helping them get back to their fitness goals after delivery.
It is really rewarding to help women improve their mobility, to address pain & leakage with changes that can occur throughout the aging process, and to help women live pain-free lives."
