Kayla has a real passion for women's health. With a deep-rooted commitment to maternal health, Kayla has dedicated her career to supporting and empowering families through every stage of childbirth. She has played a pivotal role in establishing sustainable doula support programs within the nonprofit sector and has volunteered extensively as a childbirth educator and doula for low-income families. Her advocacy extends to the legislative arena, where she has worked on various
maternal health policy initiatives. As a midwife, she brings extensive experience in managing complexities while prioritizing normal physiologic birth. Her mission is to drive meaningful, positive outcomes for all individuals, ensuring every family receives the compassionate and comprehensive care they deserve. 

About her philosophy of care, Kayla says:

"My commitment is to provide exceptional, evidence-based care in midwifery and women's health. It's incredibly important to me that every person feels seen, heard, and well cared for. Quality care should be available to every woman in Minnesota, and I've worked hard to help make that happen. I am dedicated to understanding each patient's vision for their care and working tirelessly to make it a reality."

In her free time:

Kayla enjoys spending quality moments with friends and family, whether exploring the outdoors or joining in on team trivia nights. She is dedicated to her wellness, engaging in activities like athletics, cooking, and gardening. With a strong foundation in theatre and music, Kayla loves attending plays and musicals and occasionally enjoys performing herself. Looking ahead, Kayla is eager to explore the rich cultures the world has to offer with her children and partner, incorporating more travel into their lives.
