Dr. Janice Nadeau
PhD, LP, LMFT, RN, FT
Dr. Nadeau has earned a great reputation in the area as a psychologist specializing in marriage and family. In addition to her education and expertise as a psychologist, Dr. Nadeau has a master's in nursing - an important distinction for our patients who might be experiencing a medically-related condition that is impacting their quality of life.
Dr. Nadeau's Experience
Her wide-ranging expertise includes: individual, couple, and family therapy for a wide range of mental health issues; and specialization in mental disorders, chronic and terminal illness, abuse, relationship issues, loss and grief, and dementia. In addition she established a community-based, free grief support program, conducted a women’s incest and abuse group continuously for 21 years, and provided a consultation group for practitioners dealing with complex concerns.
About her approach to care, she says:
"I believe that healing happens best in the context of a relationship. My goal is to convey this message: "What happens to you matters to me." To gain the trust of our patients is paramount and to help others heal is an honor."
In her spare time:
My hobbies are riding my e-tricycle; gardening and listening to The Grateful Dead with my companion; and telling the same old jokes over and over.
